Within the healthcare field, Dave is recognized as both an operational executive and search expert. His specific areas of healthcare expertise include finance, delivery, technology, public relations, marketing, and talent acquisition.
Prior to joining the Albertini Group, Dave was CEO of SUMO, LLC, a hospital and physician services company specializing in revenue cycle and compliance. Before leading SUMO, Dave held the position of Vice President for a health information exchange technology company that allows for the seamless exchange of patient electronic health records between different healthcare access points.
Within healthcare delivery, Dave was a Hospital Administrator at Harris Methodist Fort Worth, a 685 bed Texas Health Resources flagship hospital, and Longmont United Hospital, a 183-bed community hospital in Northern Colorado. Dave’s leadership roles expanded into the physician group and health care financing arena as he was instrumental in the creation of a leading 600+ physician group (IPA). In addition, Dave served as an executive at several national and regional health plans including Aetna, Nylcare (New York Life), Harris Methodist Health Plans, and Care N Care Medicare Advantage.
Dave has placed hundreds of executives and physicians across the country. In the search arena, Dave has deep experience as a Regional Director/Senior Search Consultant with a global search firm and was the leader of the physician and executive recruitment department for a 14 hospital system.
Dave is an active member and frequent speaker of the Health Finance Management Association, HIMMS, American College of Healthcare Executives, Medical Group Management Association, and the American Hospital Association’s Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the College of Human Resources at Southern Illinois University and is completing his Masters of Arts in Health Services Management at Webster University.
